Seeking Public Input and Delegates for Door/Kewaunee Legislative Days
The logistics and details for Door/Kewaunee Legislative Days 2021 are coming along nicely. The purpose of Legislative Days is to educate state officials about Door and Kewaunee Counties and to lobby for state action to help address local issues and concerns. To create a safe environment for all to participate in this year’s event, it is being planned as a virtual event. Over the course of a couple of days in the first or second week of April, teams of 3 to 4 local delegates will meet virtually with members of the Assembly and the Senate, as well as relevant agencies.
Legislative Days is open to anyone who is interested in the legislative process. If you would like to be a delegate for this year’s event, Friday, February 12, 2021, is the final to register.
Representatives from Door / Kewaunee Legislative Days will be conducting two public input meetings to gather community input. The meetings will provide an overview of the event, initial issues being considered, and take input from the public for other issues or comments. The public input meetings will take place on Wednesday, February 17th at 6 pm and Thursday, February 18th at 9 am.
Links for registering as a delegate and for joining the public input meetings will be published on the website and announced in a forthcoming press release (www.dklegislativedays.com).
